Configuration of the Standard Search Experience
You can add the search WebParts on all pages within the site collection where it was uploaded to the site app catalog. The following describes the default enterprise search setup and can be adjusted to your needs and use cases.
Basic Page Setup

Create an empty SharePoint page

Add a "One column" Section
-
Add a "One third left" section below the first section

Save the page
Add and Configure the Search Box WebPart
-
Reload the page while adding a get parameter called query=* as follows

Open the edit mode of the page
-
Within the "One column" section, add the "Raytion Search Center - Search Box" WebPart
-
Open the configuration dialog
-
On page 2 of 3 of the configuration dialog, please configure the connections as follows

Please add the license key provided by Raytion
-
Don’t forget to save the page
Add the Vertical WebPart
-
Edit the page
-
Add a Raytion Search Center - Vertical webpart to the right-hand side of the One third section

Configure the WebPart as follows

Click on configure verticals
-
Use the following configuration

Configure the Everything Vertical
Add the Everything Result List

Edit the page

Add a Raytion Search Center - Filters webpart to the left-hand side of the One third section

Click on configuration and go to page 3/3. Make a note of the Web Part instance ID

Configure the Everything Result List

Change the WebPart configuration as follows

Choose SharePoint as a data source
-
Enter the following query template
{searchTerms} AND NOT (contentclass:"STS_SITE" AND WebTemplate:Group )" -
Click on Next

Choose Rt-Cards as layout
-
Enable "Show results count"
-
Click on next
-
Enable Use input query text
-
Enable Dynamic value
-

Enable Connect to a filters Web Part

Choose the Web Part instance ID from the filter WebPart from above

Enable Connect to a verticals Web Part

Make a note of the Web Part instance ID

Configure the Filter

Open the filter configuration

In Use data from these Web Parts, search for the WebPart Id from Step 1 q from the "Everything" result list configuration

Click on Edit
-
Add the following filters
-
Position: 1, Display name: Type, Filter field: FileType, Template: File Type Select, Expand by default, Sorted by: count, Sort direction: Descending,
Mapped values: Click on the pen and click on Use standard mapping, click on save. -
Position: 2, Display name: Author, Filter field: DisplayAuthor, Template: Select, Expand by default, Sorted by: count, Sort direction: Descending

Position: 3, Display name: Modification Date, Filter field: LastModifiedTime, Template: Date interval, Expand by default

Click on Save

In Layout, choose Rt-Filter

Save the page
Add the Recommended Links Result List

Edit the page
-
Add a Raytion Search Center - Result List webpart to the right-hand side of the One third section

Change the WebPart configuration as follows

Choose SharePoint as a data source
-
Enter a query template which limits the search results exactly to the list items from the recommended links list, configured during the page setup. For example as + 'path:"https://<yourtenant>.sharepoint.com/<site>/Lists/<BestBet List>"'

Set Number of items per page to 3
-
Turn off "Show paging"
-
Click on Next
-
Choose Rt-Block as layout
-
Choose Hide this web part if there’s nothing to show
-
Choose Is result block
-
Turn off Show results count
-
Click on next
-
Enable Use input query text
-
Enable Dynamic value
-

Add a Raytion Search Center - Result List webpart to the right-hand side of the One third section

Change the WebPart configuration as follows

Choose SharePoint as a data source

Enter a query template which limits the search results to people results (the people source can also index equipment or rooms). A template could be
{searchTerms} AND NOT title:room AND NOT title:projector -
Result source ID should be chosen to be LocalPeopleResults

Set Number of items per page to 3
-
Turn off "Show paging"
-
Click on Next
-
Choose Rt-People-Block as layout
-
Choose Hide this web part if there’s nothing to show

Choose Is result block
-
Turn off Show results count
-
In "Block name", please add "People", i.e., the same wording as the people vertical

In "Vertical key for Show more Button", please add "1", i.e., the same position as the people vertical in the vertical WebPart

Click on next
-
Enable Use input query text
-
Enable Dynamic value
-

Enter the same query template as for the people search result block, such as

Choose Result source ID as LocalPeopleResults

Click on Next

Choose Rt-People as layout

Enable Teams Calls

Click on next

Position: 1, Display name: Department, Filter field: department, Template: Select, Expand by default, Sorted by: count, Sort direction: Descending

Position: 2, Display name: Location, Filter field: location, Template: Date interval, Expand by default

Click on Save
